Our history
1948
A precise beginning
Founded in Borculo as the Central Verification Institute for electricity meters, working for the regional electricity company “De Berkelstreek.”
1975
Expanding expertise
A new department dedicated to measuring instruments allowed us to serve more clients across many sectors, growing our knowledge and skills.
1992
Accredited calibrations
CIJ Borculo achieved ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, confirming the quality and precision of our work and strengthening our position in the market.
2000
Official recognition
We became officially recognized under the Metrology Act to inspect gas meters, electricity meters, EVHI’s, and to install large consumer meters, serving utilities and grid operators.
2006
Customer portal launched
Our first customer portal gave clients easy online access to information about their instruments and certificates.
2010
On-site gas measurements
We set a new industry standard with advanced methods for on-site gas measurements.
2014
On-site heat measurements
After the success of on-site gas inspections, we expanded our services with on-site heat measurements.
2021
QR code on instruments
Scanning the QR code on an instrument now gives direct access to its certificate, enabled by our renewed customer portal.
