What is a force measurement?
Force measurement involves determining the amount of force applied to an object, for example during tightening or crimping. These measurements are crucial in applications such as assembly, electrical engineering, metalworking, logistics, and quality control.
Depending on the application, different instruments are used for measuring and recording force.
Examples of force-related equipment:
Torque wrenches (according to ISO 6789)
Crimping tools (conforming to NEN 61238-1)
Scales (< 60 kg, for example for logistics, laboratories, and refrigeration installers, BRL100)
Force gauges (< 20 kN, for tensile force measurement or load recording)

Benefits of reliable force measurement
Accurate assembly: Correct tightening forces prevent material damage or loosening.
Safety: Proper crimping force or load prevents failures in connections or components.
Quality control: Essential in production processes and inspections.
Compliance with standards: Meets international and industry-specific standards (such as ISO 6789 or NEN 61238-1).
