Inspections and testing

In the Netherlands, CIJ Borculo is the only measurement company that can inspect gas, heat, and electricity meters on-site. Our certified technicians use a mobile testing installation to perform random checks of meters at your home. We always do this on behalf of your grid operator. Thanks to this unique method of measurement, your grid operator knows whether all energy meters in the grid are functioning reliably. This ensures you can trust that you receive exactly what you pay for.

If doubts arise from you or your grid operator regarding the reliability of your energy meter, CIJ Borculo can perform an extensive measurement as an independent party. Such an investigation, known as a “case study,” is always carried out on behalf of the grid operator and can be performed either on-site or in our laboratory.

Thanks to the QR code on your instrument, you can always access its certificates. Certificates, documents, and long Excel lists are a thing of the past. This offers many advantages:

  • During an audit or workplace inspection, there can be no discussion about the instrument’s validity.

  • The certificate and calibration period are always accessible, anytime and anywhere.

  • A technician can manage his own measuring instruments and PPE.

Shuttle service

As an addition to our calibration services, we offer a shuttle service. We collect your instrument, calibrate it, and return it to you within 5 working days. This way, you can be sure that your instrument is handled with care.

You do not need to package your instrument or arrange shipping. Since your instruments are fully insured against transport damage while in our care, we completely take the burden off your shoulders.

Repairs

Sometimes it happens that your instrument no longer meets the required specifications. We are happy to help you as quickly as possible. Often, we can repair or adjust your instrument, and if that is not possible, we can assist you with purchasing a new instrument or outsourcing the repair.

If your instrument can be repaired, we will provide you with a certificate before and after the adjustment, ensuring you of the instrument’s correct operation. This minimizes your concerns and reduces downtime!

Customer portal

Would you like to always stay up to date on the status of your instruments? Then our customer portal offers the perfect solution. A material manager or warehouse employee can always see when instruments need calibration, and a quality manager can demonstrate the traceability of instruments during an audit. In the portal, you can view:

✔ The latest calibration certificates and recalibration periods of your instruments
