Pressure
CIJ Borculo is a specialist in pressure measurement and calibration. For more than 75 years we have helped companies in industry, installation, pharmaceuticals and laboratories obtain accurate, reliable pressure readings. Thanks to our own RvA-accredited calibration laboratory (K061) and experienced service teams, every measurement is fully traceable to the national standard.
We supply and maintain a wide range of pressure-measuring instruments. Whether you need a simple gauge or an advanced pressure transmitter with signal output, CIJ Borculo delivers a complete solution, including on-site service.

What Is Pressure Measurement?
Pressure measurement determines the force per unit area in a gas, vapour or liquid. Pressure sensors and transmitters are used for process monitoring, safety, quality control and energy management. A distinction is made between absolute pressure, gauge (relative) pressure and differential pressure.
Examples of pressure-measuring equipment
Absolute and gauge pressure sensors
Differential pressure meters
Manometers (analog or digital)
Pressure transmitters (4–20 mA / 0–10 V)
Vacuum gauges
Process calibrators for pressure

Benefits of Accurate Pressure Measurement
Process monitoring: prevents downtime and keeps machines and systems performing consistently.
Safety: over-pressure or under-pressure is detected in time.
Efficiency: optimal pressure levels avoid unnecessary energy use.
Quality control: essential when producing or processing sensitive products.
Regulatory compliance: meets ISO, ATEX and pharmaceutical guidelines.
Why Choose CIJ Borculo?
CIJ Borculo has decades of experience with pressure measurement and the calibration of pressure instruments across many sectors. Our RvA-accredited lab (K061) performs precise calibrations—both in-house and on-site at your facility.
We think along with you, provide brand-independent advice and ensure fast delivery and maintenance. Thanks to our extensive range, we can supply or calibrate virtually any type of pressure instrument—from a simple vacuum gauge to a complex transmitter in a process installation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How often should I calibrate my pressure gauge or transmitter?
We recommend at least annual calibration, depending on usage, critical applications and regulatory requirements.
Can you calibrate pressure equipment on site?
Yes. Our mobile teams can calibrate pressure transmitters, gauges and sensors within your process environment.
Do you also supply pressure-measuring equipment?
Absolutely. We supply leading brands such as WIKA, Druck, Beamex and other top manufacturers with 4–20 mA or 0–10 V outputs.
What is the difference between absolute and gauge pressure?
Gauge (relative) pressure is measured against ambient pressure; absolute pressure is measured against a vacuum. We advise on the right type for your application.
What exactly are differential pressure meters?
They measure the difference between two pressures, for example across a filter or between two chambers—crucial for process control.
Do you provide equipment with a calibration certificate?
Yes. All instruments are supplied with an ISO-17025 traceable calibration certificate.
What is the delivery time for pressure-measuring instruments?
Many standard models are in stock and can be delivered within 1 to 3 working days.
Do you calibrate process calibrators with pressure modules as well?
Yes. We calibrate both stand-alone pressure modules and multifunction process calibrators from various brands.
