The history of CIJ Borculo
The Central Calibration Institute for Electricity Meters (Centrale IJkinrichting voor Elektriciteitsmeters – CIJ) is founded in Borculo. CIJ overhauls and calibrates electricity meters for the electricity company 'De Berkelstreek.'
We expanded with a department specializing in measuring instruments. This allowed us to serve more and more clients across various sectors, continuously developing our knowledge and expertise.
CIJ Borculo achieves accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025. This accreditation underscores the quality and precision of CIJ Borculo. Thanks to this, CIJ Borculo grows steadily and strengthens its position in the market.
We received official recognitions for the inspection of gas meters, electricity meters, EVHIs (Electronic Consumption Value Recording and History systems), and the installation of large-volume meters. This allows us to respond to the specialized demand in the energy sector, serving metering companies and grid operators.
With 45 specialists, we calibrate and inspect daily for clients across the Netherlands – both on-site and in our laboratory. Our motto, 'measuring with certainty,' is always at the core of what we do!
